This is a unique opportunity to own one of a limited edition of museum quality models that were made of American Classic Voyage's Project America, the first U.S. flag cruise ship to be built in the United States since the S.S. United States was built over 40 years ago. The model is mounted on a solid wood pedistal and is covered with a high quality plexiglass cover. The overall size of the model and cover is 34" long, 11 1/2" wide and 9" high. (The actual model is a few inches shorter to allow space on all sides within the display case).

A special aluminum plaque authenticates that this model was custom built for the cruise line by master model maker, Nautical Replicas. The ship was slated to be operated under the name United States Lines.  American Classic Voyages went bankrupt after the models were built and before they could be delivered. These high quality pieces were intended as decoration for the cruise line's offices and as commemorative gifts for key executives and politicians who were instrumental in the legislation that helped fund this U.S. flag construction project. This model was custom ordered by the cruise line from Nautical Replicas, a company with over 15 years experience building museum quality ship models for maritime museums, cruise lines, shipyards, Hollywood, and nautical enthusiasts. Their models are proudly displayed in the National Maritime Museum and aboard the cruise ships of most of the world's major cruise lines. A limited set of 25 models were hand produced to exacting detail based on blueprints and artist's renderings of the ship which is presently under construction at the Litton Ingalls Shipbuilding, Pascagoula, Mississippi. This 1,900 passenger ship was designed at 72,000 tons, 1900 passengers, 950 crew, and 840 feet length for year-round Hawaii cruising. Unlike mass produced plastic or resin models, this model is made entirely from Brass, which allows for far greater detail, strenth and durability. Maritime Replicas guarantees its models against defects in materials or workmanship for life.
