JORDAN POND HOUSE RESTAURANT
Most restaurant positions require a 6-day work week.Waitstaff
Involves a high level of personalized service. Duties include waiting on tables, dining room cleaning and set-up, and bussing of tables. Job requires good physical conditioning, including repeated lifting and carrying of more than 25 lbs. up to 100 times/day. A pleasant personality and calm demeanor are essential. $2.58/hr plus tips.
Buspeople
Includes setting and clearing tables, restaurant cleaning and other dining room duties. Job requires good physical conditioning including repeated lifting and carrying of more than 25 lbs. up to 100 times/day. $5.50/hr plus tips + .50/hr bonus
Kitchen Workers
Includes food prep work, dishwashing, cold food line, bakery, and cleaning. Job requires good physical conditioning, including repeated lifting and carrying of more than 25 lbs. up to 100 times/day. $7.50/hr + .50/hr bonus
Lead Cooks
Includes some shift supervision. Must have strong creative cooking skills including sauté and sauces. Two years supervision or equivalent expected. $8.50 - 10.50/hr. + .50/hr bonus
Bartenders
Operating service bar and cash register. $5.50/hr plus tips + .50/hr bonus
Cashiers
Includes operating cash register, counting money and preparing bank deposits. Valid driver’s license required. $5.50/hr plus tips + .50/hr bonus
Hosts
Main duties include stocking side stations, setting tables, greeting and seating guests, and restaurant cleaning. Job requires good physical conditioning. A pleasant personality and calm demeanor are essential. $5.50/hr plus tips + .50/hr bonus
RETAIL SHOPS:
Duties include cashiering, assisting with purchases, stocking merchandise, regularly scheduled cleaning duties including floor cleaning, and park visitor orientation. All shop positions include weekend and evening work.
Jordan Pond Shop
Employees either live in company housing, which is within walking distance, or provide their own housing. $7.00/hr + .50/hr bonus
Cadillac Mountain / Thunder Hole Shops
You will need a vehicle to get to these jobs. Employees either live in company housing, or in surrounding communities. $7.25/hr + .50/hr bouns; $3.00/day transportation allowance.
Bar Harbor Shops Includes one gift shop, one outdoor goods shop, one country store, and one ice cream & fudge shop
Employees provide their own housing, or live in company housing within walking distance. $7.00/hr + .50/hr bouns
SUPPORT STAFF
Housekeeping
Includes various cleaning duties. Requires willingness to perform thorough cleaning of restrooms, housing, offices. $8.50/hr + .50/hr bonus
Office Staff
Involves money counting, preparing bank deposits and sales reports, filing, data entry, and general office work. Requires accuracy, attention to detail, some typing, and a valid driver’s license. $7.00/hr + .50/hr bonus
Warehouse Staff
Works in our central warehouse processing merchandise orders. Requires attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Involves filling and delivering shop requisitions throughout the park. Some data entry required. Job requires good physical conditioning, frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs. A good driving record and valid driver’s license required. $7.00/hr + .50/hr bonus
